Elements of a Network : 

1. Host:

      👉 Main  or controlling computer connected to other computers or terminals to which it provides data or computing services vai a network.

It is similar to a server in a client-server architecture. In the modern peer to peer networking every computer is a peer and also a host to every other computer connected to the network. 

2.Node: 

        👉 In a network, a node is a connection point, either a redistribution point or an end point for data transmission.

In general, a node has programmed or engineered capability to recognize and process or forward transmission to other nodes. 

3.Connectivity:

         👉 A generic term for connecting devices to each other in order to transfer data back and forth. It often refers to network connections, which embraces bridges, routers, switches and gateway as well as backbone network.

 It may also refer to connecting a home or office to the internet or connecting a digital camera to a computer or printer. 

4. Client and Server Devices:

         👉 Client/Server networking grew in popularity many years ago as personal computers became the common alternative to older mainframe computers.

Client devices are typically PCs with network software application over the network. Mobile devices as well as desktop computer can both function as clients. 

       👉 A server device typically stores files and database including more complex applications like websites. Server devices often feature higher-powered central processor, moro memory and larger disk drives clients.
